I took most of your advice and done away with the extra bit i added for the Tiger.so its back to a basic dio with just the stug.i have just orded 5 more german soldiers 4 from verlinden and 1 from nemrod, still need to paint the 2 Tank crew.i have also added rubble and broken glass in the cafe window, made from a plastic fruit container cut to shape and glued on using white glue.i should have it finished in a few weeks as the figures are taking me some time to paint,at least 1 fig every day or so,not too good on my figure painting yet.
so i shall call this the last update untill i have completed it.
If you see any room for improvement just let me know
Cheers karl

It's fantastic as far as I can see! Well, maybe some more rubble and glasses on the exterior would make it more realistic! I like the weathering on the tank very much! And it seems that the infantry trooper isn't weathered yet!
That's all I can say! Hope it has helped you in any way!
Cheers and happy modelling!

hi karl. the stug looks great! and i agree that a bit more rubble/debris on the street will be nice. otherwise, a fine dio there!
my suggestion would be to add some soldiers in the dio, like marching on the sidewalk or in front of the stug. (e.g: tamiya's machine-gun crew on maneuver). this is just to fill some 'voids' in the scene.
cheers.

Nice work Karl... it looks great. Just one question, did you do the ground work yourself?

hey there i love the work you did on your stug. The message on the back is awesome! What paint did you use for it? All my dark yellows end up a greenish color.

That's really beautiful. I especially like the sidewalk and the weathering of the tank.
Try to paint some individual bricks with different shades of the same color. Bricks usually fade, darken, etc. so it would be authentic to have bricks of different shades.
Just an idea. You can add a little of your brick debris and other rubble (just a little) on top of the stug. That would mean that the bastard ran through a brick wall or something.

I think the dio looks far better, without the extra bit, you added for the Tiger. Good choise.
Your dio looks fantastic Karl.
In my humble opinion, I think the dio could do with more rubble and debris and perhaps different kind of stuff lying around, like an old newspaper, a bottle, a torn up poster etc. Stuff that didn't neccesarily fell from a building.

Karl...looks great so far..I love the look of the building and the street. I do agree with the others that some more rubble/ broken glass and maybe a little dust/dirt here and there would add more to the feel of the dio. Looking forward to see what else you do to improve this one..Keep us posted.

Hey Karl
Very impressive STUG. I love the weathering, very subtle, just the way I like it.
I think you need some more weathering on the building / footpath though.... just to blend it all together...... needs some litter...
Impressive looking effort.
Cheers
