As mentioned in two other threads in 'diorama's' I visited the museum 'Wings Of Liberation' and faced some real great diorama's I would like to share with you all.

Here is the last one I will post: a 1:72 diorama situated in Belgium, 1940. The story that goes with it is:
"French soldiers are looking up when a German Henschel 126 recc plane is appearing above them. They are on Belgium territory and just encountered a German spearhead that has broken through Belgium defence lines. Fast progress was possible due to concuring bridges by German Fallschirmjaeger."

Now, it's not perfect, but I did liked it a lot...
Unfortunatly the author of it is unknown...
Again; photograping it was quite difficult because of the glass.

I think it looks quite good for a 1/72.

The house looks very nice... although I do have my doubts about the ladder on the roof.
You'd need another ladder to take that one of the roof....


One might also note the yellow cobblestones... this was a very special camouflage technique used by the Belgian Army to make the roads invisible so that the germans would not see or use them......

It didn't work in the end.. but the yellow looked sooooo pretty we just kept it for a while longer.... :-) :-) :-)

Cool diorama! The smaller tank looks like a WWI FT-17. Did the Belgans really use that type in 1940?

Looks great especially for 1/72, the building is really well done and very realistic and the whole thing tells a story.

@chuckster: Yes indeed, it's a FT-17. The French did use them in 1940 and also the Belgium army I guess.
We (the Dutch) had also ONE tank (!!!) when Germany invaded in 1940; also an FT-17!
Unfortunatly, "our little tank" was not a real opponent to the Germans... But we got the tank back after the war
