I am pretty sure this has been asked before, but I was unable to find it.

What are the correct colors to use for modern British armour ? ( dark green with black ).

Trumpeter calls for an Olive drab, but somehow I don't think that is correct.

If possible in Humbrol, Tamiya, Modelmaster or Vallejo ( that is what I can get here )

In fact it depends how you define "modern". For currently used vehicles it is indeed NATO green. You can use Tamiya paint or if you want to use a color matched exactly to a paint used by British Army you can order Modern British Armour Green from White Ensign Models.

As far as I know British Army switched to NATO green CARC paint some time in early 1990s or late 1980s. Earlier they used slightly different shade of green.

never used the white ensign paints, but from what ive read they should be correct.

also if you prefer enamels you could try extracolours. i buy them from accurate armour and they are very good matches too.

there is often slight variations in the shades used and they can appear either matt or slightly satin too.

my experience is based on currently used afvs and softskins
