Here it is, from the airfix 72nd reconaissance set, a sdkfz 222 with some scratchbuilding!
Added the canvas on top covering the non-existant machine-gun, the flag on the rear, the jerrycans on the front and on the sides from the ground vehicle set from academy, the wooden box from the same set and a little rope on the front made of wire. The tent rolls were made from milliput.
It'll be used on the diorama below, taking the place of that pak40 (still in an early phase)
Happy modelling,
Francisco

Is the blown bridge something commercially available or did you scratch build it? Pretty good looking scene. Please keep us posted as you move through this build.

The vehicle looks really great and i think it will look awesome on the bridge. I too would like to know about the bridge set..is it available as a kit or did you scratch build it? And if you scratch built it..i would love to see this one as a how-to article in the future..

Hi Francisco,
The 222 looks awesome. Hard to say that it is 1/72 with those details. The brifge work looks great too. please keep us posted, I really can't wait the final look of the diorama.

Thank you all for your kind comments I carved the bridge out of a piece of plaster and it was a simple and pleasant task! No special tools nor tecniques, just carving and sanding a bit and then brush painted it with wall spackle diluted in water wich gives a really smooth surface to it. The underside (cilindrical part) was done using a film canister. I casted the bridge by using a little candy box with the same width as the film canister and then poured the plaster..The rest was one using some bits of styrofoam and rectangles of plaster wich were also carved like that wall on the side and the sidewalk. Actually most the tecniques I used I learned here at armorama
