I'm planning on getting the Tamiya Deuce and a Half, and I was wondering if there were any things wrong with it? If possible, is it cheap to fix? You know, maybe with some styrene and some re-arranging? Thanks for your time.

All you need to do to this kit is to open the box add glue and paint. Close the box and shake. After 30 minutes or so a finished good looking GMC-CCKW pops out.
Prob one of the easiest and best kits of this type of truck on the market.
The one thing people do miss when building it is the one piece chassis has some bad mould lines that are a pain to get off properly.
Cheers

The Tamiya kit is a gem....
the thing's i'll mention is fit the bed parts carefully.. and be sure of where to glue.... I glued a bit to much up the front bed corners and had to "carefully" undo them..
also the truck is a 6 X6 vehicle. test fit your wheels and axles in place before glueing to make sure all 6 wheels sit on the ground... i have a M-8 armored car that for some reason or other has a wheel in mid air.. LOL
Personally i'll be getting at least one more of these to do in the future as it was a dream to put together..

Mr. Hutchings, how would suggest removing the mold lines? Thanks for your time.

I would have answered sooner but I was trying to figure out who Mr. Hutchings was! :-)
I have built about 7 of these in different rear body styles and have found the easiest way was to scrape with a sharp blade and then sand. The main area you see is from the rear of the cab back. Of course if you decide to put the Bonnet (hood) up and display the motor you also need to do the front ones.
The one piece chassis is a good idea but with the moulding system it really does show the lines on the chassis. The rest is a reasonably easy cleanup.
Enjoy the kit as it is a good one and comes up well will a little care.
cheers
Cliff

Ditto on the Roo's advice. I always just use a sharp blade. This kit is one of the easiest, beauties I have had the pleasure to build. You can't go wrong with one...or ten. If you want there are Tamiya released accessory kits. These include things to put in the back and another includes accessories for the front including a gun ring, .50, and Jerry can racks behind the bumper.
Best of luck, and post pics soon.
