For my medics campaign dio/vig:
Need some help on what to put on the sign board. My original idea was writing "Gasthaus zum ?" Zum what? I need a name. Then over it I'll write a morale boosting graffiti in German. If anybody can translate "Soldiers! To victory!", please feel free to do so.
"Exterior" scene
"Interior" scene
Thanks

Hi Mondo!
You could write "Gasthaus zum Weißen Hirsch" for example... it is widely used in Germany!
For the translation, it would be "Soldaten! Auf zum Sieg!" or "Soldaten! Auf zum Endsieg!" (final victory in the last case)...
By the way, it's a nice little dramatic scene you are doing!

Hi Mondo!
Hirsch = deer (the animal with big horns - see link)
You can add the picture of one of these animals in the sign board! Usually, the "Gasthaus" was used by hunter to drink their beers and "schnapps" after the hunting. There could even be a deer skull trophy hanging inside on the wall behind the medic for example...

That's a tall order brother. Now you want me to kill a deer? :-) All we have in this country are sheeps and camels.

Mondo! Have to agree with Jon- that floor has come up fantastic! Think it's the way that it's random in staining...
And the planters!
One thing though- Are you going to raise the brickwork on the front wall? Think that it should be at least higher than the wardrobe in side... And as for your blood, think you have portrayed a suitable amount! Not sure if anyone has tried this, but I've used red ink out of a ballpoint pen, which has a real 'dark' fresh blood appearance and remains wet-looking...

Hey, thanks for offering mate. I might need help for the "Gasthaus" thing. I can pretty much make the soldaten thing.
Tell me what you need to make it. Like the size of the board. BTW, the board comes from the Tamiya roadsign set.
Should I tell my secret for the floor?
Ok. It was an accident. The black paint I used was quite old and did not mix well with the thinner. But I didn't notice that it coagulated and continued to spray anyway. I was trying to get a marblized effect by using hemp fibers (not the smokable stuff) over the tiles before I spray. I didn't get the result I wanted. Instead I got this.
It was a screw up in the first place.
The blood is scarlet in oil.
cheers

You could try "Berlin bleibt deutsch!" which translates to "Berlin will remain German" if you want to set your scene in Berlin. I saw a picture from Berlin at the time of the Russian invasion with that written on the wall, so it would be historically accurate

I usually just use one of my art programs and put it all together and print it out on my printer, it is photo quality. All I would need is a sample of what it should look like.
