Hi,..I've completed this dio earlier. Just want to post some pix to share and for u guyz to pick out any flaws. Although, it's supposed to be done, I can still make it better based on your comments...One thing I can see myself is that the Brit soldiers are a bit shiny. Probably I give them some matt coat.
And this one is a smaller dio of a Brummbar.

Overall these are nice, it's a bit hard to see because of dark photos.
One thing I did notice is that I would put a dark wash on the surrender flag pole.
I like the open hatch, and the guy over the top.

Hi Scott. Yeah you pointed out something that I probably missed out. Can do, I'll make the surrender pole dirty! Thanx!

Looks great! Maybe a little flat coat on the figures (although I like the slight sheen on the helmets, you may want to keep bit of that).
Only flaw I can see is your title, since this is a Hornisse (or Nashorn, I'm not up on the differences) rather than a Hummel.

I know there is no big difference between this but, isnt that a Nashorn, not a hummel.... i know the nashorn is just a Hummel with a bigger gun....

I think it is a nashorn. I've a nash on my desk where i'm working on.
I like the overall dio but I can't see much becouse the photo's are a little dark.
I like your figs but they need a matt coat. The ''shiny thing'' gaves a nice touch but it is incorrect.
The black on the barrel seems to long, I think it must be shorter, only the muzzle brake should be black....... or am I wrong??
I would I can build like that
Bye Hilbert

Hi Guyz...Thanx for the comments. I went thru my box art and confirm it's not a Hummel. My mistake. It's actually DML's Sd.Kfz.164 Hornisse. Actually, I was a bit confused of it's name too.
Frank, I realised the 'Hand in the air' guy. I tot I leave it like that to depict that he is probably reaching out to the map handed out by his comrade on top? Not sure if that's believable though.

Neat dioramas ! Great work on them both.
The first 2 shots are of a Sd Kfz 164 Hornisse (early Nashorn) armed with the 8.8cm Pak 43 anti-tank gun. The Sd Kfz 165 Hummel was a similar vehicle, but armed with the 15cm sFH18 Howitzer.
The Nashorn diorama looks really cool. In the pics, it gives the appearencce of a rainy/gloomy day. Vehicle, figures, and the groundwork are done very well. Your diorama "tells a story" for the viewer, which is good.
Brummbar diorama looks good too. You should post more pics of both of these if you can.
Cheers !!

Ive seen a Hummel back in Moscow, but i dont recall its gunbarrel having a muzzle break, and neither was it so long. I can say this dio is very nicely made and i can suggest some battle damage to the Hummel if you're willing to be sadistic enough....

A nice, satisfying dio. Thanks for sharing it with us. One minor detail is to add some form of attachment for the jerry cans on the side. (if there is something there already in place I can't see it from the photos). Otherwise they look as if they are miraculously suspended.

Hi!
I like them both. Very well weathered vehicles, and the figgies looks good too.
Thanks for sharing
