Just to say, i found a retail Kubelwagen for 2$ and all hail the 1/350 Tamiya Missouri! I gues ill have to stick with my fully built and clean Famo for now, because the 6$ reatil one was sold before i got to it (whimper). But here's the real deal: i read about how many of our fellow modelers use dry pastel chalks to weather their models, im a painter, soon ill post pics of my models and my paintings, but the thing is that dry pastel is horribly unhealthy and hazardous. The dust fills up the lungs in great amounts in microscopic particles and can cause asthma and respiratory problems. So be careful, stick to Humbrol or Tamiya paint, for a change i use artistic acrylic to create rust and steel effects.

Volkov... check out "IMAGE HELP" at the top right hand corner of this page. I would love to give you a step by step on how to post. But I think it would be easier for you to understand how to post pictures by reading that section.

Hope it does help.

Volkov, you can post your pics in your gallery here at Armorama. From there you can copy and paste them to the threads.

Try uploading them onto Armorama's gallery. Then paste the picture's number into the (it begins with img between brackets) the forum.
If you have any problems posting pictures, contact one of the editors. They'll be happy to help you!

Dude I didn't know that pastel chalks are that dangerous
It's a pitty that there are no real alternatives (you just can't achieve the same effects with other "wet" colors).
Well from now on I'll use a mask to prevent dust from getting into my lungs.

Thanks for the tip,

ekke

PS: by the way: I read the same about resin dust so be careful when sawing or sanding resin parts...
