Hi,
I recently bought a double action air brush and try to air brush my
model tank with Gunze Sangyo Mr Color paint.
To my disappoint, spider web immedidately started to form
on when the paint came out. I think it could be due to me
not "thinning" the paint enough.
Is there a thining ration that can help to prevent spide web
from forming ?

greeting mikado and welcome to the BIG A!
may i know what color that u are trying to airbrush? i have face the same problem with you last month when i try to airbrush mr color gloss white. it's hooting color plus spider web.
When i try to spray with another line of mr color series, there's no problem with it. so i try again with white and thinned it more. and no more siper web coming out of the nozzle. My advise is to thinned it more. i dont know exact ratio but perhaps 50:50 paint to color would help.

Hi Silantra,
I was trying to air-brush my mixture of "green + sandy brown".
I did not know the 50:50 portion. I thought it would be 25%
thinner and 75% paint....

Greetings mikado!
I use Mr Color paints too and sometimes spider webs do get sprayed out. Like what you said, do make sure to thin them down really till they have the kind of "milky" state. Opaque (paint plus thinner).
There isn't really any ratio buy just trail and error... spray on a piece of paper first and see if spider webs are formed. If there is, thin the paint down more.
(hope to see your builds soon... mate... do use the Singapore Community Forum too, it's kinda lonely with the few Singaporeans active there )

You should mix at least 50:50 paint to thinner ratio, or more thinner. try first at a sheet of paper to check the concistency of paint flow. spray several thin layer is better than one thick layer. hope it helps
