The million dollar question is... how easy easy is it to drill out the centre of the base and the shalf and run a wire and LED up it so that it actually works for that "working girl under the corner street lamp" vignette?
You may laugh at this question... but last week I really did see 2 1/35 figures (a french working girl & a german soldier) that would suit this scene perfectly...

Rudy - actually - it wouldn't be to hard to drill a hole down the length (provided you have a long drill bit.
You would want to cut off the very top cap and then remove the resin 'glass' portion and replace it with a see through version made out of clear styrene or some type of doll house light cover.
