I'm working on an Italeri BM-13 Katyusha and I've been trying to figure out what (if any) ground cover was used typically for units such as this. I've seen similar units with brush cover but that was in Vietnam. Was there a standard ground cover for rocket artillery on the Eastern front in WW2?

Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: I should add that I've tried finding references but I can't for the life of me find anything useful on the internet and unfortunately, being a student, I don't have all that much extra cash for reference publications.

Hi,
I've got a small book on armoured fighting vehicles of world war 2 and the katyusha is in here, there's a bit of info on it and there is a photo of the rockets going off without the truck (ground based) and it is on thickish snow in stalingrad 1943. If thers more info i might have it.
