Drybrushing or the flat coat?

Some say DB so the flat coat can seal the paint.

Some say the flat coat so the DB will have something to bite on and to highlight the DB effects

Some say flat coat, then DB then flat coat again.

I'm kinda confused here. Could you guys shed some light on this issue?

Thanks!

I prefer to drybrush over a flat finish.
What ever works for you is fine, it's the end results that counts.
