The Tamiya Modern US Equipment Set has a lot of nice things in it you could use to dress up your Abrams. Pretty good value, too.

Depends on when you are modeling it from. If you are doing an Operation Desert Storm ('90-'91) tank, you can use most of the gear out of the Tamiya accessory set. Don't add the Combat ID Panels (CIPs) or sleeping bags. They are both post ODS items. For a current, OIF, vehicle you will need to add the CIPs and all the other gear in the Tamiya set is correct. Also, don't use the rear hull mounted APU (box on the right rear of hull) for a modern one. Other than the above items, the kit is a great kit and a pretty accurate representation of a M1A1HC (Heavy Common, Heavy Armor is only used by model companies).
