HI folks. Any good tips on making glass for dioramas? I am making a ruined French cafe and I want to put some broken glass in the window frames.

Clear plastic.....
Comes in many thickness from evergreen.
Free in 99% of the packaging today.
If you want real glass, and your windows are small enough seek out old fashion slide covers.

What Dave said sounds good you could also use one of those slim CD cases they apear to be thinner than the normal CD cases.

You can use also microscope lamellas. When you break them you'll see that they look really very realistic. You can find various sizes of them.

The clear acetate sheets used in overhead projectors are pretty good too.

Never thought of this solution, but it sure sounds like THE thing to do. This is one of those golden tips that will be used for sure in future.
Good thinking !!

The material is too thick. Thinking about 1 mm being 35mm in real life, it would look like armoured glass too much.
