This is a Bandia model built 26 years ago by my father- and with the new models out there and better aftermarket and a 1/48 sherman winning at IMPS dad was before his time - lovely model -had to prize it out of his hands to let me photo it

Hi Ian,
Very nice! I'm glad to see the dio has weathered the test of time! It's nice to see that modelling runs in the family...

Like father like son?!
Very nice dio! Very well conserved also, 26 years and still in perfect condition.
Just wondering, were those figures part of the kit?

My Dad would be chuffed with your comments - he has had it under glass all this time (ex glazier) Paul the figure in the bandia range were terible and out off scale dad used to extend them but some are from there other figure ranges
Ian
Dad is 74 and still modelling but what I see is the age deteriation from days when he scratch built fully rigged Thames barges in 1/25 that can actually be sailed via radio control -detail and function -my dad all over

Nice work. Compliment to daddy.
Nice to hear that he's still modelling and still finds it fun and challenging.

Ola Ian
For it`s age this one is definately in good shape. Very nice dio too. Already somebody came with the comment he was not even born then well this one is also before my life. But really a neat thing.

I don't have enough space to share all the models my dad has done -he is still very prolific- He has just built a 1/48 scale bank vault door and is finishing a layout in 1/48 but I have other pieces I will share including some of his scratch builds
