I have a quick question for those that have used or seen XF-63 (German Grey). I have started painting with it and it's a pretty dark shade of grey. Is it a pretty good comparison to what the Germans used, or should it be lightened a bit? I know there has been a lot of talk lately about accuracy of colors, so I won't stir that pot. Some pictures that I have seen use a grey color that seems a little lighter, but I have heard that cameras and lighting will have an affect on that too. I'm just looking for a little info, so anything would be good.
Thanks for everything,
Jason

Tamiya colors are not matched to anything, there's the first problem. Secondly, paints fade and get dusty. Third. phiotographs show the same color as different shades based onthe angle of the sun. Fourth, color emulsions change with age and are affected by during processing ansd can be very deceiving.
Conclusion: About right is close enough when dealing with anything but new, current color samples.
