Hello guys! After that big dio, I decided to work on something smaller. This dio represents a german trench on the eastern front. The soldiers are holding the line at all costs. The MG 42 is running dry on ammo, and a box of grenades is coming to help.
I looked at a lot of snow dios, and all of the figs are white as snow,so I tried to replicate the actual look of the uniforms aftr weks of fierce fighting.I´m still working on the interior of the trench,I´ll add some more mud.
The figures are from Dragon, and the snow is made of baking soda.Hope you like it!

Nice little scene! I like the dirty, muddy snow and how it could look after it might have been covered by a fresh fall. The only thing I could suggest is more blending of the darker colours on the uniforms. At the moment, you have a very sharply defined area where you have laid down the darker clours in creases etc. Loking good!

Great job Antonio, are those the full Dragon figures with the heads that come with the kit or did you replace those heads? Awesome work, really like the feel of the scene.

Very nice little scene! Their uniforms looks a bit brown but I guess this isn't impossible in heavy conditions...

Very nice, much of my comments are short, as I noticed you said you havnt finished the inside details of the trench. One thing I do notice is the soldier bringing up the grenades, are there any footprints in the snow behind him?

Might I ask what you made the rifle slings out of?

What Vinnie said about blending. It makes a big difference.
Now the snow: most looks very good, and the overall effect makes it look very cold. Being in Sao Paulo, I suspect you don;t see much real snow. WHen it's cold it does not turn brown when tramped down, but a grayish off white, with relatively smooth icy crusting. It does not retain it's fluffiness if it's been stepped on.
Very slippery stuff.

Hey antonio- like the look!
Think as others have said re the uniforms is on the money. One option is to use an artist pastel (white or an offish white) and apply it dry over the whole uniform. This would blend the shading you have on a subtle level...
Overall I think you can sense the drama unfold!

Well done Antonio, I like it very much, i really like how the figures are up to their ankles in mud and snow.

Bus,

a great little diorama. It has written dirt and cold all over it.

One little thing on the figures. It appears that the difference between the main color and the shades is kinda "hard". Perhaps thinning the shades, making them a bit more transparent can solve this.

Nice one !

Thanks for all the replies!
Yes, I am changing something on the uniforms, the blending is not that good...(I am using pastels on them) and I will soon be posting some pics-Thanks for everybody who advised!!
Mech Maniac-The footprints are there! But the lightning made it too bright! The rifle slings are made from nomal paper

Moezilla-Those are straight from the box!BTW, this whole set is very good!

Thanks again
