Does anyone out there know of a turret interior detail set for the Tamiya K.V.2.? Or failing that, any good interior photos or diagrams of the guts of this beast.
Thanks in advance.

The only kits I know of for the KV's 1 & 2 are from MR models of Germany. These kits are listed as conversions so I do not know if they include any interiors.
You can go here MR Models to see the kits listed. The kit for the KV-1 turret mod. 1940 has a pic link where you might be able to discern what it features.

I'm pretty sure that the MR Models conversion has a solid turret so it won't work for you. Most likely, you will need to pick up some references and scratch-build the interior. A good reference that you might look into getting is Wydawncitwo's Militaria KV Vol. 1 book. It covers the KV-1 (early models) and KV-2.

I don't have my copy yet (it's on the way) so I'm not positive if it has pics or drawings of the turret interior, but this is the best chance you have of finding that info. that I know of. Wydawncitwo's books are pretty good so chances are good that this info would be in the book. If you send me an email in a week, I will let you know for sure if there are interior shots.

Thanks guys, it seems these K.V's must still be covered by Iron Curtain secrecy...ha ha! I have a few reference pics of the exterior and the etch brass fenders, metal tracks, ali-gun barrel etc. Just short of how to fill that huge steel coffin of a turret.
Thanks for the details of that book adam, it's one I will be investing in i think but i will drop you an e-mail next week once yours has arrived. Since most of my reference stuff is of WW2 German vehicals arms and uniforms, if you or anyone else need any help in that area, please just ask.
