I'm having trouble making the turret top stowage bin on my AS90. Whatever I tried it just didn't look right. Now I've broke it!
Would any vehicles that deployed to Iraq not have it fitted? Or should I camoflage the turret top with extra stowage under a tarp shaped to resemble the bin?
TIA
Tom

You would be safe to burry the rack in a mountain of stowage. I have noted many photos of AS-90s with tonnes of extra kit in the rack and the whole lot covered in tarps and/or camo nets. I don't think many AS-90s would have the rack removed as it's one of the few places on the vehicles for extra kit (I understand that the turret bins are used for crew bergens and holdalls).
The rack on the real vehicles is really quite sturdy being constructed of welded angle steel. It's quite ironic that the 1:35 version is so flimsy!!
