I am almost to the decaling stage in my Jeep build and have run into a snag. I am building a jeep as it would be in July-Sept of 1944 ETO. I've been looking thru my references but cannot determine if most jeeps would have a large star painted on the hood. From what I can tell it seems to be about an even split of jeeps with and without the cover over the windshield and I am building it without. Anyway, anyone have any clear photos or tech documents as to wether or not there was a star on the hood.
Thanks,
Eric

Eric, try here: Markings
There is a plethora of info out there concerning the wonderful "Jeep"! If you use a search engine like google, just type something like "world war 2 jeep markings" in the search field. Millions of results will come back. It just takes time to weed through all of em.
The one above is one I found which has a descent description of the markings used. Hope this helps.
