Ok...Heres what i need...
Im currently working on a Jagdpanzer Hetzer. Found one(Italeri's) at the Nats for 8 bucks and I just wanted to do a quick out of the box with it. Thing is, I want to put it in a diorama now. Still mulling over ideas, but my basic premise is to have the Hetzer knocked out. I have a U.S. infantryman with a Bazooka...and Im wondering if a Bazooka could kill the Hetzer. So..was wondering if anyone could pass along a few gould ideas on how to make the Hetzer look knocked out short of completely exploding. I have the general idea that you put in an entry hole, open the hatches and blacken them up. Im just fishing for ideas...I could also use some tips on camo netting because the kit was missing a few grab handles on the back deck..I need to hide that problem under camo net.
Again..any help would be appreciated.
Thank you for reading this.

To me a tank could be just knocked out with a damaged idler wheel and a track broken. show the tracks left on the ground surface coming straight and then curve the tank off to the side that has the undamaged track. Open the hatches and show the crew bailing out on the opposite side to the American troops.

If you want to put both the Hetzer and the GI in the dio, I would not go for the open, blackened hatches. They convey a Hetzer that has been brewed up and burned out, and I would doubt that the GI would hang about that long.
I would suggest showing how the first impact has blown the track and/or road wheel/sprocket, disabeling the Hetzer with the GI taking aim again to finish the thing off.... maybe even get a crewman scrambeling out of the top?
Cheers

Don't know how strongly armoured the back end of a Hetzer was, but maybe a bazooka round there would be enough to disable it? That would perhaps account for the missing/damaged grab handles too...
