Your best - and fastest - bet may to be hopping on the net. Are you looking for small villages, or cities? If you're looking for cities try looking up the battle of Hue in 1968, that was fought in built up sections, or the Tet Offensive for that matter.. Another good resource for rural areas may be National Geographic or other sources. Another option is looking at various web sites for units that served in 'Nam (many have personal photos posted).
Hope this helps,

Howdy Matrix,

Welcome to the site!

As to your dio question...try to be a little more specific about the setting you had in mind.
In other words, are we talking the Central Highland's, downtown Saigon, the Delta, or?

Don't be afraid to ask. You will find nothing but supportive people here at Armorama!

Tread.

I was looking more for a city, Im not sure what city. Im thinking of just having the corner of a blasted building with a wounded guy and a heavy gunner fighting to stay alive. No final detals yet.

Hue could be a good battle to focus on. Marines fought in that city and DML makes a pretty good figure set, with an M-60 gunner and wounded marine being carried by his buddy. DML has sveral good Vietnam sets you may want to look at. Marines at Khe Sahn (spelling?) are another good set you could use in your dio...

Good Luck,

NATE

I think Verlinden does a bombed out Vietnam building, a corner I think. I'll look for a link to it tommorow and get back to you. It was one of the Verlinden web sites so if you want to check them go ahead,

Hope you can help me out.

What better reason to rent Full Metal Jacket for urban locales or Apocalypse Now for rural sites ("Charlie don't surf!")?
