As promised! I got home and took some pictures of the completed left side armor plate with reactive armor.
I found some Midwest rectangular tubing to use for the mounting brackets for the blocks, in this case the whole bloc segment. I used some sheet styren for the missing front plate that is actually attached to the first block and for the rear peice that is missing also. Hex shape Plastruct was used for the bolt heads on the rear peice.
Oh, I used Eduard's M2A2 ODS photo etch set for the foot step and grab handles.
Don't worry, there will more in theupcoming article with measurments and stock numbers.

Looking good. Can't wait for the full article. Might have to get the Verlinden set and do it up as well.

It really not that bad. And I know you can get the manual too. I haven't run into a problem yet.
Wait till you see the front armor with brackets, then again, i only see it in my head. It might look totally different when I put it on the kit.

I am just waiting for the Features article to do mine. I have it set aside some where in that pile I have.
It looks interesting already. Looks like that might be my 1st scrapt build and super-detailing I do. So I can not wait till it's all weathered and painted. So I have something to look forward to and not just my next shipment from my LHS guy.
Happy Modeling

Looks very good, but I believe that mounting brackets are significantly over scale. Please take a look at the picture below.

I was using Cory Sanders pictures form PrimePortal and my manuals as a refeerence. You are right though Pawel. That was the smallest rectangular tubing I can find at the time at my LHS. When I go back, I'll check to see if there is even smaller available.
I'll get the size I used later tonight when I get home and annotate another size to use. If you can find a good size to use before I do, don't hesitate to post it here.

Pete, have you looked at the metal stuff at your LHS for those channels? I was just at mine and I thought I saw something just like that channel. Of course, I may just be talking out of my rear end here but it might be something to check when you are at your LHS again. Looks great so far. What color scheme are you going to paint the finished product?

DOGH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Kyle. I don't know why I didn't think of that. I have to check what sizes they have. The only bad thing is, it's a little to late for my model. I have the right side done know. But I can at least mentioned the right size to use.
It will be one of the 1st ID tracks. It will be painted over all NATO 3 Chamo and the add on armor all in sand. With plenty of dust and dirt.
