Can you add some insight into the top metal railing? Did you add it- did GNR add it. That's a great detail and it would be great to see info on how to build it.

Scott, to be honest, I normally take pics if I decide to do anything like that, but I sort of got carried away with this and....just did it! I can describe what I did though. I used plastruct angle for the lower rail and strip for the top. The angle was to give it a little rigidity. I drilled holes equidistant along the length of the angle and used this to mark the holes along the top strip. The railings themselves are nichrome wire threaded through and held with superglue. I flattened the ends of each one to represent a 'spike' or twist. The join between two sections was made exactly as the real one would have been made, that is with small strip 'plates', and a bolt either side. This way when I twisted it the 'bolts' would be shown twisted and even shear, although this is hard to see in the pics it can be seen close up.

Vinnie - quick and easy fencing. I like it, it really spices up the overall look of the fence. It is straight forward and uses something we can call get our hands on. Nice

Very nice, the cost is a big pusher too for any modeller who needs a bit of something extra in their diorama.
