I am building an LVT4. It appears that one must be 9 feet tall in order to use the .50 cals. Obviously they had to stand on something. Do the crews just pile crates? Do they build a platform? Something else? Or is it simply limited to the imagination to do whatever it takes to reach the guns?
I suppose that the .30 cals on the sides are used when standing on the bench when it's folded down.

Hey Alan
Go to www.chars-francais.net/archives/lvt4.htm
Think the pics are of a 1948 model, but there are a couple of shots from the stern looking inside which may or may not be helpful...
