Hey Frank!
Your model looked great even without the figure! Love almost everything about it, plants, tractor, stuff on the deck...
Outstanding work mate!
Cheers

Figure kinda looks like Nicholas Cage :-) sorry :-)
but really he does look good, I like the expression on his face.
The vehicle is good to go, I like the weathering and all the extra gear on it, is that AM or included with the kit?

This presentation looks really great. You've really done a beautiful job. When I judge the quality of a figure, I always look at the boots. Very nice work!

Really nice Frank, I really like the addition of the figure. It gives the scene a little action. By the way what are the correct tracks for this kit and were can I get them.

Hi Guys. Thanks for your comments. Im going to to do a short write up on this vehicle and send it for an On display article. Some quick answers.
The kit is Bluetank ... (Nitto copy)
The stowage is by Italeri, Academy and Verlinden ... junk jewellry chains and Airwaves PE. None come with the kit. The ration boxes are St.George design (Paul Rains .. Armorama member).
The tracks are AFV Club .... the same as the M41. Best and easiest tracks Ive ever built. They all clip into each other, can be placed and then glued.

Ha ha ha! :-) The figure does look like Nicholas Cage. I really like the vehicle and all of the stowage and plants. Great job! I also like how the figure's pants and books are dusty too.

G'day Mate
Great work, Figure is very well painted, like the weathering on the M8, and the groundwork is really nice.
Tell me this is gonna be entered into the welcome to the nam campaign?
Cheers

Frank - your figure matches and compliments your M8A1. I think your model looks better than the real machine did.
Congrats on a very nice miniature that does the real vehicle justice!

Hey Guys. Thanks for all the nice comments. Very much appreciated. Got a lot of support and tips throughout the build of this, from guys on the big A. Thanks again.
Hi-ya Vinnie ... the plants are all aquarium and small plastic plants from the supermarket. They were painted by airbrushing. Takes away the plastic look. The scene is in Vietnam.
Neither could I. :-) I asked online here and what little I know is from from replies. Thanks to all who answered over the building of this ... much appreciated.Wont name names in case I forget somebody! You know who you are.
This was built as part of the Mud, Sweat and Gears campaign. I forgot to officially enlist, so I never got a medal or added into the gallery for that campaign. So if you want it to be part .. its OK by me.
Thank Gunnie. I dont really know what the real vehicle looks like so IŽll have to take your word for that! Thanks for the support throughout!
If anybody wants a list of all the threads (for more info)from this build ... PM me. There will be a feature someday .. just have no time at the moment.

All i can say about this dio is WOW! After seeing how nicely you painted the figure, im going to have to do more research on how to paint figures properly. I just like the way you matched the weathering on the figure as you did on the vehicle....make sense i guess.
I too have never seen that vehicle before although i havent really been reading up on the Vietnam era.
Great job once again.
