Can anyone tell me the easiest and most efficient way to apply winter camo/white-wash and also allow for paint chipping to show the original color underneath the winter camo.
This is the order I was going to use:
- Prime with flat black
- Base coat with Tamiya German Grey
- Post shade panel line with black
- Apply a lighter shade of grey in a cloud pattern
- Apply Maskol liquid mask with a torn up scrub pad
- Apply winter camo with flat white(is white better than light ghost grey) in cloud pattern
- Seal the model with satin laquer
- Apply oil washes, pigments, drybrushing, and filters
- Apply a second coat of satin laquer
Is this on the right track, I have never done anything this in depth and do not want to ruin the model with a bad paint job? Sorry if this sounds like a novice question, but the forums seems to be the best place for info and advice.
Cheers,

Hi Ryan,
I used the same method and sequence as you, apart from the final weathering, and this was the result
Maskol is great for this technique.
Cheers
