G'day All

I want to build the ultimate Panther...

I have Tamiyas Late Panther G, I guess I can make it an early G if need be....

I have: Friuls, Eduard barrel, Aber upgrade set including screens, fenders and schurzen, Cavalier zimmerit......but I want to take it that bit further....

I want to add an interior - engine, turret and drivers station. My options (I think) are CMK, Tank Workshop and Royal Model.

Can anyone give me some advise as to which interior set to use

Or am I biting off more than I can chew.....

Peter,

I can't speak for theTWS Panther interior but I used the TWS interior for the Tiger I, and wasn't all that impressed. It wasn't bad, but there were some fit problems and big over pours on some of the parts. I would suggest looking on ebay for the Jaguar interior. You get both the turret and fighting compartment. Haven't seen the CMK or Trumpeter sets so I can't comment.

Hey Peter,

if your budget stretches far enough i recommend you get the CMK interiors. I have not built them, but i have seen the kits and they are very good looking. Nice crisp detail, not too much clean up and fit the Tamiya Panther perfectly.

TWS interiors can be a bit hit and miss, my tiger interior was very good, but the Stug III interior i had of their's was hopeless and lacked a lot of detail.

Looking forward to seeing this when you get it underway, and if youreally want to go to the extreme, why not use one of the Mori cuppolas, they look very well done.

OK, CMK it is, I suspected as much.

Hawkeye, I think the Mori cupola looks nice also, what about the drive sprokets ?

Yeah they do as well, so do the radiator's although i think they are a little expensive for what they are. Once i have my Canadian M-113 Engineer AFV completed, i am going to build a Panther Late A with all the goodies, will be good to see how the two compare.....good luck with yours

Hey Hawkeye,

The sets arrived today... :-) Thanks to NKR Models for the great service

As soon as I finish the Jagdtiger I'm working on, I'll be into it.....

Now, just need the War Office to approve the purchase of a Mori cupola and drive sprokets......
