Hi all!
I buyed this model after miniature magic campaign got me hooked on braille scale models again after few years break. It looks nice in the box and goes together well except for some probs with the lenght of driveshafts and as I mentioned before it has crappy instructions.
Till now I added some details on the hatch and a tarp from tissue, cause the plastic one from the kit just didn't looked convincing.
Let me know what you think so far
Cheers

Thanks Chad!
The kit has no flash and some ejector pin marks, fit is quite nice except for driveshafts already mentioned above. I like the decals and number of options of different markings, as there are four of them. There are some 7 figures included but their faces have rather soft details.
And of course I will paint it in the desert colours I think that the African campaign appeals to me the most of all WWII periods
Cheers

very nice mate. The picture showing the underneath looks just like the 1/35 scale offering from Tamiya.

Looks like a lot of detail for a small kit, especially as I beleive it comes from an old Esci mould. What's the gun like?

Looking good so far Pedro.
An amazing amount of details. Hard to belive it's only 1/72 scale.

Thanks gor comments guys
Dave, the gun seems ok as I'm no expert in artillery. there is a choice of 2 muzzle breaks, but the one I choose sucks. It needed some filling and sanding and it carried a pin mark on the barrel, but other than that it seems nice. I like the details on it like rivets and even the rope moulded on the gun shield looks nice
Cheers

yes, even under the esci label, this allready was a very good piece of kit, so now that Italeri is watching over it, it will not get worse. I have made some earlier in my career, and I agree it has allmost every thing the Tamiya 1/35 has.
The same went for their 25 pounder gun and their 6 pounder.

I agree, the Quad tractor is a very nice little model - much better than Airfix :-) . But I found the gun very disappointing, especially with the amazing lack of detail in the breech and mechanism.

I'm not sure, but I think the muzzle brake you chose is either a late war, or post-war, addition. And as another criticism of Italeri, it makes me question why they would provide an action crew for the gun with the limber doors firmly shut. It would hardly cost more to supply an alternate end for the limber with the doors in the open position and a fake interior with molded ammo racks. It's so little, but adds so much.

Or they could just give it doors that can be glued in open or closed position... I understand your point Biggles. And thanks for the tip on the muzzle brake! Knowing absolutely nothing about artillery pieces I would probably leave the late war brake and put on the northern african campaign markings
Cheers
