That is a bargain. It is even cheaper than the one I bought in a model shop in HK.

You may already know that there are articles in the August issue about Wittmann. I have never done any 1/48 kits before .This free kit actually started me thinking building an 1/48 Tiger 1. Skybow seems to have an edge on Tamiya due to the presence of zimmerit.

Didn't come today. I have the Tamiya 1/48 Tiger I, but the Skybow Tigers look really nice...might have to get one for the Michael Whitmann set. I was wondering, since you have the set. Is the set resin or plastic?

I'm a little confused here. Do the figures come as an extra to the magazine issue or is there just an article about Wittman in the mag?

Both, though the text is probably in Japanese. But, the nifty thing about this magazine is that some of the article's photo captions are also in english. This is a common gimmick with Japanese magazines, providing free limited edition models with the magazine...the only thing increasing is the cost of shipping.

It is an injection plastic kit in grey plastic. Although I can't read Japanese either but there are a lot of high quality photos and illustrations to make up for it. The whole magazine is dedicated to, as the title says, armour modelling. There is also a regular feature of Allies' vehicles in each issue.

OK, its time to look for that Skybow Tiger.

I picked one of these up via an ebay auction, minus the mag. There are two full and one partial figures, each with separate heads and arms. Sculp quality is pretty good, and they are about the same size as the Tamiya figures. Now I don't know too much detail about Wittmann and his crew but there was one thing the struck me as odd about them. These men served with LSSAH but one of the figures has a Heere jacket (different cut) and insignia (a breast eagle instead of one on the sleeve).

I don't know the answer to your question. Just wonder if the following article give you any hints.
