Here is my last diorama which I made for the "Tank Destroyers" campaign.
The Marder comes from Tamiya with its crew. I can say that this kit was an excellent one.
The figures are from Alanger, "German tank crew" kit.
All painted with humbrols. Weathered with oils and pastels.
Waiting for critics..

Thanks for your kind words friends.
Mary,
The haystack is immitated using hemp rope, cutted in thousands of little pieces and glued with white glue spray. At the other corner I used moss, some sticks and hemp rope.
And this was not my "ultimate" diorama. The last finished one lets say :-)

I'm always amazed by your dios, Wampum. This is another one your great dios.
I find the TD a bit clean for my taste. Of course, if you need to make it a bit dirtier, you can always easily do it.
Beautiful!

Your groundwork is great Wampum, I love the haystack. I do think that the composition has one area that could be improved on, the positioning of the retreating Germans. At the moment they seem to be retreating from somewhere behind the Marder, i.e. the marder seems to be aiming into their own rear area.. I hope that makes sense..
Not that it takes away from the fine job you've done, very well painted.
Cheers
Henk

Maybe you are right Angela. I can give it some more dirt effect. Thanks for your comment.

the positioning of the retreating Germans
Hi Henk, thanks for the kind words. The same critics I've took from the guys from my community forum. Here I tried to catch a humor; the crew of the marder saying "what the hell, don't you see what is coming over there? Don't come over here!" But it seems that this humor is thought only by me

An awesome dio! I go along with Angela: the TD is a bit too clean! But nothing that you can't solve! The dio is really fantastic! I like the work on the faces of the figures! Super! Congratulations!
Cheers and happy modelling!

I have to go along with Angela and Prato; the Marder is a bit too clean. Maybe some dust on the sides?
On the layout: I think there's a great amount of action. I thought that they were surrounded... the Marder aiming one way, the men withdrawing towards the Marder, and the men on the Marder pointing backwards. In my opinion, excellent work. I wish I learn to build something like that sometime on the future.

I'd have to agree with everyone that is agreeing with what I have to say... Did that make sense? Well, anyway, I'd have to say the part that I like the best is your groundwork also. Man, sure looks good! I'm wondering myself the more that I look at the tank if a wash could be instore.
Nice job as always Wampum!

hey wampum
I like the dio, though there seems to be a fingerprint on the left armor plate. I wouldn't worry too much about the figure position. It looks like both vehicle and destroyed tank crew are retreating, and the one guy is pointing out a prospective target, and the loader is getting ready to load. But thats just me.

Prato, Petri, J. and David,
Thanks for your time and for your comments. The main idea is to dirten up a little bit more the Marder. Which would be easy to make..
Eagle or Slodder, thanks for editing the topic title.
