This is the old Esci 1/72 scale M163 Vulcan ADA gun. Decent kit with a rather non-descript turret. Found one going for $152+. Wild stuff, although the high bidder already has 4 negative feedbacks, this will most likely be his fifth.

With that kind of bid, I'd deliver in person, with an escort to insure I got the cash!

Although I would be suspicious since only 2 people drove that bid to Pluto, I'd cosider cancelling the winning bid for neg feedbacks and go to #2
BTW is that kit really go for $150+ normally? Is it that rare and in demand?

Normal is to see it maybe go up to $20...this looks like a couple of 12-22 year olds up too late on the compueter...

One guy outbid himself four times in a row, going from about 41$ to 49$. Then the other guy outbid himself from 50$ to 70$ to 80$ to 100$!!! Then the first guy bid three times in a row, going from 100$ to 150$. Madness.

Sort of rare today, but a reasonable bid would be in the $20s. In the 1980s Esci did a decent series of M113 based kits including the M113 (base kit), the M113 ACAV, M106 4.2" mortar carrier, M901 ITV and the M163 Vulcan. Accuracywise, the best was the M106 and the worst was the M163. The turret was the weak point here.
The M113/ACAV version has been reissued for $8 by Italeri and the M901 is still kicing around for $5, Squadron was even carrying them as late as 2004.

I would be pissed if two punks just ran up the price for kicks. Since both those guys have such low feedbacks I wouldn't doubt if it's the same kid swapping back and forth.

Nothing on ebay suprises me! I saw once that someone listed a sandwich that one of the members of the boy band NSYNC took a bit out of.
It sold for 1500.00

well, i built that M163 vulcan version and it's the worst among the M113 variants that Esci put out..
the main appeal of this vehicle for me is of course the vulcan on the turret and the kit definitely did not deliver in this category! i had to scratch build a new gun and mounts for it...

My LHS has a few of those on there discount shelf, Maybe I should buy them and sell them on ebay. At those prices I could stock up on high end resin kits.......
