I pulled down the Direct Support Manual for a diesel engine that I was wondering what vehicle used it.
The DSM is indexed as TM 9-2815-200-35 by the Army, dated 15 oct 1970, and the title is:
Turbosupercharged, Diesel, Fuel Injection, 90-Degree "V" Type, Air-cooled, 12-Cylinder, Assembly; Models AVDS-1790-2M (2815-856-4996) and AVDS-1790-2AM (2815-856-9005)
Anything with 12-cylinders grabs my attention, but I was wondering what beast used it! I hope the big "A" can help me out!
TIA

This was/is the engine used in the M48A3 and M60 series of tanks, and the M88A1 recovery vehicles.

Thanks again for the fast answers!!
I knew it had to be something big to have that big of engine!!
The only problem with having access to so many DSM's is the fact I want to do something with everyone!!!
Thanks again the both of you!!
