Well the end is within sight! I have two more figs to finish up, those peskey flies to make, maybe a bird, then some overall blending to do, and she is a done deal! Here are the pics to date - questions and comments always appreciated.
Thanks for looking!

You've done a superb job here John, I wouldnt have guessed it to be 1/48. What did you use for rope ? works well for scale.
That stream in itself make a cool dio.
These guys are lucky they have a tank , once the farmer finds out about his hay wagon and livestock they are going to need it :-)

Thanks guys! I had my doubts about that stream myself. It was the first time I used Water Effects from Woodland Scenics. But I just kept tinting and adding thin layers and it turned out fine. The final 3 coats are Future floor wax. I think the key to sucess was the multiple application of thin layers.
Thanks Slug. The rope is ship rigging rope from Model Shipways. It was tied in place, then given a thin coat of PVA/water. When set, a very thin bunrt umber oil was was applied.

that's really made the most of a small surface area and it's telling a great narrative really well.
Thanks for sharing the in progress stage. Every in progress I see I get a little closer to starting my diorama :-)
nice one mate, good luck with the finishing up can't wait to see your final piece

john, what figs did you use?
i noticed those 1/48 figs poses are similar to a couple of figs from 1/35 tamiya & DML sets.

Thanks alot guys, really appreciate the comments.
MoJimbo, the standing fig is Tamiya, the kneeling fig is resin from Nimix - a set I do not reccomend. I have two more figs, one is another from the Tamiya set, with a new head, and another resin fig from Taiaho, that I obtained from Colorado Minatures. This set I highly reccomend.
Cheers N

I absolutely love this dio. Myself, being a huge fan of 1/48th, find it very refreshing. I like the fact that it shows that good things can come in smaller packages. Great Job!..

If you wouldnt mind..i would love the information on the Resin figures that you obtained from Coloarado Miniatures.
