Hi there.
I've made this little something using a box I bought at Ikea. There is a piece of glass to put on the front, and the box can be hung on the wall. Hope you like it.

Comments, criticism and questions...let me have 'em!

Though the photo was taken from far, one can see that very good work! Try and send pictures of the figures, we would like to see them closer!
Cheers and happy modelling!

The snow is very nice, I like it. The composition is nice and simple and well adapted to the size of space you have.

One thing I would like to see is some type of 'break up' visually of the big brick wall. It seems a bit empty through the middle. Maybe a drain pipe or a horizontal electical pipe. Or a perpendicular steet sign.

I agree with Slodder here, breaking up the wall, visually, would be a good idea, you have a large amount of surface space that provides for many 'accesorizing' opportunites.

Also a question, why is there snow on the left, but none on the right?

Great scene you have going there. As Slodder stated perhaps something to break up the brick wall a bit would be much more pleasing to the eye. Also..is it possible that you could post some more pics that are a little more close up?

Hi there
Thanks for your comments.

Here are some close ups of the figgies - sorry that I can't get them more 'close'. But the figgies are both from Tamiyas "Soldiers at Field Briefing"-kit, and to be quite honest: I'm not pleased with the final result. But I'll repaint/-detail them at another time - as will your idea about breaking up the brick wall.

And your question, Mech-Maniac, has been answered!

Thanks again.

Very nice idea and box dio Simon!

I have that tamiya figie set and its very nice!!!

all in all you have a nice wall "picture"

one thing i dont like is too much "empty space" on the left of the figures, looks like there is space for few more figgies to "fill up" the scene!

cheers

works really well for the figures. In the overall scens, the guys get losl and all you focus on is this brick wall. here' your'e focussdonthe figures and their relationship to the scene.

Nice! I would spice it up a bit and have some artillery damage on those walls to give it a bit more character.

I like the way you made the snow too!

Hi all
Thanks for your comments. Glad you like it.
I don't know about that blank space on the brick wall though... I think its kind of daring to keep it blank? Anyways, as soon as I change my mind, I'll post pic's of it!

Thanks again for your comments, and help

Simon,

I like your idea very much, a good use of an otherwise useless IKEA item... :-) .

I agree with you, I would definitly not add any more posters. Not every free inch of wall space was filled with propaganda posters.. . What might add a little bit of interest would be a lamp post to the left of the figures, or a drainpipe.. That would fill the space without overpowering the figures, and draw the eyes up and down the scene.

Cheers

While I like the figure concept, I'm not sure that this couldn't have been a much smaller scene... their is a lot of "blank brick wall" that seems to disctract from the overall composition.
