Looks like Bandai, venerable king of 1/48, is back in the game. Their jeep and BMWR with sidecar are said to be released in the autumn.
So now we have Tamiya, SkyBow, Trumpeter and Bandai.

I hope their re-releases are re-tooled. Some of their kits, like the Pz lV D, were very nice, and some had glaring inaccuracies.

The Bandai kits were fine for their time; now, some 30 years later, we've learned so much more about vehicle detail that Bandai's inaccuracies are acute. To follow a discussion regarding their PzIV see:

Some of the Bandai were terrible - mostly the earlier ones, which tended to be German. The Pz 4 was a particular disaster. I can show photos of most of them (unbuilt) if needed.

I hear rumblings that Dragon are gonna venture into this scale too? imagine a 3n1 vehicle in that scale? pretty cool.

I built (and still have) most of their kits. Still have a few unbuilt ones. Don't know if I'll get back into 48th, got too much invested in 35th scale....besides at this point there is just so much more variety and I don't just build WW2
