Well I see you have to learn a lot! But hey it doesn't matter, we are here to try to help you with improving your modelling skills.

First thing what do a lot on your model is, paint the rubber tires from the wheels mat black.

Also as a tip. Look at colour pics, if you wish you can try to build them as on the pic.

here are a few sites for you.

www.jagdtiger.de
www.tanxheaven.com

These are two large sites wit a lot of pics.
Btw did you used your airbrush??
And learn from your experience, and ask if you have problems.

But hey everybody is started once

Go easy on him, why! thats my kinda Tiger it looks like an old campaigner from the Eastern front , in my opinion thats a good model the suptlties will come with time. Well done graeme.hope to see more of your work. Suggestions read every thing on this site about weathering and dry brushing another thing think scale when you try something for instance the wire or rope holding the spare wheel, now those things were seriously heavy so you would need a stout rope or a strong plaited wire to hold it another good tip If you can afferd it get a copy of Shep Paines modelling tanks and military vehicles you will learn every thing you need from it. all the best .

Yeah! Go for it Graeme! Extreme Modelling! Love it. Looks like it's been thru' the mill, and most of them on the Eastern Front had! There are small details, as people have said that could be improved, but for the overall 'feel' of the piece, you've done it justice! Well done Graeme!

I think that you should concentrate on drybrushing techniques. Your weathering looks like blotches. While that technique is sometimes useful, I think that drybrushing would bring out more details yet look more subtle

Greame - I can only offer you a bit of wisdom a great modeler passed on to me when I was getting started:

Have fun. Don't build models of other people's models - build what you see in photos and develop your own style. Pass on what you learn to someone else.

Graeme,
Nice job! Even better for a 14 year old.

Two minor things--how about some pics with a better backdrop? The kit sorta blends in with your 'palette.' It makes for great camouflage but distracts from the kit. Take her outside and put this cat in its natural habitat--the grass or on the dirt.

Have you given it a shot with some dull coat (matte finish)? It will take the edge of any glossy spots. Just a thought.

One major thing--and the most important question (in two parts): Did you have fun building it and are you happy with the results?

Sit back on your laurels, gaze at it with pride, and see where you can make improvements/progress on the next one.

that looks good carl. just one thing i can see now, if you have some superglue, you can try to glue the tracks on the roadwheels. keep on practicing, just like me

oh i am carl i couldnt have asked for better advise and freindly thaughts from some great modelers. wow thanks alot guys.well i realized how the tank blended in with my raddy peice of cardboard lol so i wil try and get some more photos ill get on of the back and of the front so you can see thos angles aswell.i actually am not finished completely with the weathering i wasnt completely happy with it just yet so that will be finished soon.and for the tracks and road weels wow when i built this kit a couple of years ago i was very unexperienced and made many mistakes. i should have use the individual tracks for the tanks and not the rubber ones and i also think i put the weels all on rong. but hey what can you do it was a great learning experience trying to fix this old thing up and give it a respectable paint job.
thanks again for the great comments i am sure youll hear more from me hahaha.
