That looks damn good, Phaisal! I particularly like the dusty ground. What kit is that, and did the figs come with it?

Just a few comments: I think you need to blend your groundwork with the wall, bushes, vehicles, etc. What I mean is, that while the ground is so dusty there is no dust on any of the tires that I can see. The pointing fig still has shiny boots.

Same with the wall, and the gun trailer. They look like they have been placed there. You could dust em up a bit. Maybe the pics are just too small, so I maybe wrong.

Also, there seems to be some white patches on the ground around the bushes. Is that glue?

Finally, what is an Anti-Aircraft Recon Team? Do they shoot down only recon aircraft?:-)

Shooting that dio outside gives it a really lifelike feel, too.

All the pieces look good for coloring and weathering but locating the AA gun so close to the fence has limited their firing arc to 180 degrees. Plus it looks like it's not really possible to drop the gun off and get the dolly back through the gate into it's current position.

I agree. the AA gun should be in the area where the Kubelwagon and dolly is, witht he kubel outside the gate.

He didn't even paint the taillights on the dolly, great way to cause an accident in real life.

If you'd swung the gate open the other way the figure kneeling with the ammo can wouldn't look so 'detached' from the gun. And why is the standing figure by the car pointing the way he is? Or, as Darktrooper sugested put the gun in the open space to the left of the trailer.

Many thanks for all your kind comments and compliments. You can rest assured that ALL
will be translated and printed out for "Art Instructor" the modeler.
By "AA Recon Team", I mean a recon team with AA capability, that's it - just my imagination.
As for the position of the gun and the pointing direction of the soldier, I have no comments,
will leave all to your imagination...

Looking good Phaisal. There will always be nit-picks or different points of view on models, so one has to accept that and change or live with the info. Overall its a pleasing dio but the point about the positioning of the anti-aircraft is very valid.

You say that Art-instructor gets a translated/printed copy of the comments. What does he think about the comments? Is there particular aspects he would like to hear about? Hes a talented guy. Its a pity he has to work so fast ... I´d love to see what he could do if he had the chance to do it, at the pace where his talents could flourish. Do you both consider fixing/changing things in your work, when you get comments like these or just learn from them for the next time? Just curious. Thanks for sharing.

Hi mate,
Again a nice dio and I would agree with the points previously made. If you are not going to move the gun, can I suggest moving the guy with the ammo by the gate. If he ever stands up to resupply the gun he will either become about a foot shorter(when they blow his head off!) or very hard of hearing.
Has Art instructor ever thought of becoming a member here? I would like to see some work he has taken time over if this is what he makes at speed.
Cheers
Robbo

I can see seams on some of the figs.
Fellow in Kubelwagen has a major one running down his arm.
Call me shallow but I can't get past a seam!!
I hate those things!!!
Otherwise another nice addition to your massive collection!

Many thanks for more kind comments and compliments since my previous reply!

Frank, your previous comments (on the Sherman dio) has already been translated and posted on my forum several days ago. "Art Instructor" might have read them on-line. Anyway, I have a hard copy at hand to be given to him the next time he comes
to deliver new pieces. I don't know what he'll think about them. Most dio's once built are difficult to modify, so they're left as is. Anyway, there was a guy suggesting that for this dio all I have to doI lower the gun and say the crew were engaging ground target.

Jeremy, I agree with you that adding an armor would be a very good idea.

Robbo, "Art Instructor" don't communicate in English and though we have several local model forums in Thai language I have yet to see his participation. If he spend time reading/writing in forums, he'll have less time to build armors and dio's.

Andy, our clothes have seams in real life, what's so wrong with seams on figures?

Alex, I like the configuration too. I could take the pictures from all four directions, not only the front and sides, but the back too. There's little something in all four corners.

Phaisal, Andy doesn't mean regular seams where the cloth pieces are stitched together. He's talking about seams in the plastic left by the moulding process.

Hmmm, isn't there something like "quality over quantity"?

David, I looked at all the pictures, esp the guy on the Kubel that Andy mentioned. I don't see any seams. His clothes cover all the way down to his hands, no seam found.

Erwin, I've never heard so, but I've heard Stalin said "Quantity is quality in itsefl".
I don't agree with him though. I think quantity without quality is just a pile of junk.
