Hi Guys,
just thought I'd share a link quickly.
This site has some EXCELLENT reference pictures on various knocked out tanks (Panthers, Tigers, Shermans, M10 Wolverines) as well as some excellent shots of french buildings in Villers Bocage during the fighting that would be excellent for elements of dioramas etc.
here's the link
http://panzers2.tripod.com/
please note this is a tripod site, so his bandwidth might not last out the day if we all invade. Please be patient if it's down and wait until tomorrow.

Hi Jon,
I had seen the page before...and yes it has great pictures and information. However, I think it was copied from this page...
http://www.xs4all.nl/~arsaak/panzersinnormandy2/
That one has another page, which is "Part 1"...
http://www.xs4all.nl/~arsaak/panzersinnormandy/
But after looking around more, I believe those pages were taken from the book The Panzers and the Battle of Normandy: 5 June to 20 July 1944 by Georges Bernage...
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/2840481359/102-4920783-7174553
Here's a review of the book...
http://www.panzerworld.net/review-battlefornormandy.html
I don't have the book for a direct comparison, but the usage of the book's title and layout indicate to me the sites are using photos from the book. Anyway, I think I'll order a copy...Amazon has some used ones for $20.
While looking around, I noticed what looks to be another good book, Panzers in Normandy: Then and Now by Eric Lefevre...

I'd recommend the Lefevre book, I've got the original French text. Lots of good pictures, unit histories, organisation charts etc. The English edition is slightly enlarged over the original with more info.
