Hi I have just started building Tamiya's Krupp Protze with Pak36 and I noticed in the corner of the sprue for the gun 3 parts which are marked Mount for Sdkfz 251. My question is has anyone tried mounting the gun to a halftrack using these parts ? If it is possible what did you have to do to mount it .
Thank You

I don't know how accurate the Tamiya mount is, but it does seem to fit fine onto their SdKfz 251 Ausf C kit. It seems to me as if the mount ends up too tall. But then, the Tamiya SdKfz 251 Ausf C kit needs a lot of work to bring it up to being accurate.
Part 47 goes underneath the gun position on the inside of the uper hull. Piece 46 is a plate that goes over the normal front MG mount. Instead of mounting the 37mm gun to the carriage (part 41), you mount it onto piece 45 and this glues onto piece 46.

I did this already. Mounting the gun over the 251 mking a 251/10 ausf c. It did look tall. I just followed the instructions on tamiya. I have some pics but I wont post them unless I want to get chewed out for the crazy camo I painted it with.
I have no trouble with the mounting.
