am having this problem trying to locate kits off wwii german night fighting soldiers and their gear (mp44 vampire, battery on the back,...). i already brought the dragon #6089, but am trying to find other manufactorers who made such kits. am also interested in night fighting gear alone so i could put on separate soldiers, whether resin or plastic.

Hello Mr B and welcome to Armorama...Well if you already have the Dragon set then I think you've got pretty much everything that is out there ...I don't remember seeing anything from the resin companies either.
Good luck with your search.

New Connection made a resin IR set. Probably OOP but you might try Mission Models.

As you and others have said, the DML figure set is about only place to get a set of injection molded figures with IR gear.
Cromwell made a set of soliders IR gear in resin, but I got a chance to examine it closely and did not buy it, the casting quality on the sample I saw was pretty poor.

DML makes a great many late war German troop sets, and the Tamiya Front line infantry would probably also go well with IR gear from a spare set of the DML figures.

You get another set of these figures with the DML #6233 251 D 3-1 kit AND the parts to build a pretty good, but not perfect Falke.

Perhaps another modeler here has the kit and is not
planning on using the figures, it can't hurt to ask.
You might pick them up cheap on ebay as well.

New Connection makes a Falke conversion that is better than the kit parts. I got mine in trade from Germany, but they are listed in the Mission Models catalog.

Tamiya has parts for three of the one-set IR scope set-up for the Panther in the Steel Wheeled Panther G kit, but the rectangular rear hull storage bin is not included in the kit.
DML and then Shanghai Dragon did a night fighting Panther , but the 3 set IR setup in that kit is widely believed to be purely fictional. Nice Panther though, still no rear hull stowage box.

MB models, Verlinden and Rand J do resin conversions for the UHU, listed in increasing order of quality. That is the R and J version is by far the best, but DML has announced an UHU and given it an item number, but not a release date yet.

Also contemplating and IR equipped kampfgroup dio in the near future...
