I am looking for any information on a M1A? Abrams which was named "Favre's Backup". This tank was shown last year during an ABC Monday Night Football game.
If anyone has any information about this particular tank, or better yet has any photo reference on it, I would be very interested.
Thanks

Do you have any more info? Was it a Marine or Army tank? Was it in the initial invasion or part of OIF2? I have seen a lot of tanks from both services and never came across that name...

Welcome to Armorama.
As Burik said, more info is needed.
If you know which game it was, you might check out ABC's website to see if they sell videos of football games.

Whats the difference between the tank you are looking for and the typical M1A2 Abrams?

He doesn't know what kind of Abrams it was. He is looking for a tank named "Favre's Backup" that was shown at a football game.
Sorry, I don't have any info on it either.

The Tank in question was shown during the Packers vs. Panthers game in early September 2004. My assumption here would be that it was an Army Abrams, but I could be wrong.

Did you notice anything distinctive about the tank you saw? The abrams is pretty significant so if it really was an abram you saw, describing bits of it should identify it pretty quickly. Ie: the carriage at the back of the turret or the rectangular front of the turret perhaps?
