I'm sure we all have interesting ideas, some of us more than others. I'm waiting on a package to arrive to see how I'm going to be doing my main project but my overactive mind came up with another idea. After reading YodaMan's contest ideas, my brain started clicking. While a sniper would lay in wait anywhere, a Sniper would pick a location that a) had a limited area of approach, b) offer plenty of concealment, c) offer nearby secondary positions so that he could engage/withdraw/engage at will and d) offer a secure exit path.

Following that reasoning, my mind came on the following idea. What if a Sniper did a little "fine tuning" to his environment to ensure that a and b were met? I then imagined an industrious chap using elements found on site to present a sense of occupation in YodaMan's damaged shack: A stick that might be a gun barrell, a small self-tending fire, etc. Then imagine an enemy patrol coming across the bridge, seeing the "empty" shack. At the same time they notice the hint of occupation and take great care to approach the shack without being seen. The approach would have them focusing intently on the shack, all the while our industrious Sniper is laying in wait, hidden in another location.

As our hapless victims approach, they are exposing a weak side, finding themselves prey rather than the hunter. The ensuing commotion would allow our anti-hero to slink off into the woods while the rest of the patrol rushes the shack which they are sure houses their attacker.

Just an idea. I won't be building it, but if anyone else wants to feel free.

*chuckle* Then stick with your idea and run with it. I'm doin' something different. I'll go put that in another thread.

Happy Modelling (I think this is gonna be such a cool event. So many people, so many ideas)
