Superb building Carlos

I suppose that all the "decoration" are stripes and bits of plastic ?
Why did you soften the plastic ?

After you tried a lot of techniques, which one do you refer ?

Cheers

Thank you for your comments.
this piece won't be a kit. I have built it for a colleague of Armorama, Vladimir Demchenko, for a project in the we are working jointly.
Most of the ornaments of this building are made with combinations of strips of plastic, however the round parts are in fact pieces of old kits of airplanes or vehicles combined among them. The door for example has pieces of four different kits.
I soften the plastic for make a rougth texture and the putty grabs better.
My favorite material, well, depends I consider that the plaster of Paris is the queen of the materials. it is a classic material that allows to reproduce all type of textures but it is sometimes difficult to work, it should be carved and it doesn't allow any error. it is also very heavy and fragile if the piece should be transported it can be damaged easily. To reproduce stones or old bricks I believe that the cork is a good one substitute of plaster. You can works very easily with it and it can be transported without problems. For new buildings, the plastic or the cardboard they are good materials and with a layer of plastic painting it can reproduce the texture perfectly.

Thank you Kevin.
I should express my debt of gratitude here toward Armorama and toward Vladimir. Thanks to Armorama I could contact with Vladimir. This is one of the advantages of the globalization, you can find kind people in the whole globe and to speak with them as if you had them sat down in your table.
Vladimir has a series of characteristics that make unique for me. he is a very kind and willing person to collaborate, it is an I magnic modeller, he is an architect, he has a photographic camera, connection to internet and he lives in Russia. Thanks to the pictures that he has sent me and to their advice I can work with a documentation about the details of the Russian houses that Ialone could dream before contacting with him.
thank you Armorama. Thank you Vladimir

Carlos,
You have created another fabulous building; the texture and structural detail are incredible. I really like that door. Thanks for the in-progress photos and seeing it finished lends a lot of inspiration for future buildings.

Wonderful work

Beautiful work, Carlos. Your buildings never fail to amaze me.

By the way, why don't you make a business by making and selling these buildings? Dio builders from all over the world would be thrilled to have these.

The Internet and Armorama are there so people over the world can get in contact with YOU, Carlos.

I’m sure it’s a rewarding experience for all those modellers who you’ve worked with.
Your buildings are always a treat to see … I always want to make a building every time I see your latest work. Thanks for the inspiration as always, and also the in-progress shots and explanations, that we can get a better idea and hopefully improve our own skills.
The attention to detail is amazing and all the little architectural designs will look amazing when painted up and weathered. Nice one.
