Penny...
I'm afraid the pictures don't show up in your post (at least, not with me). Could you place them in your gallery, or bether: the campaign galery??

What make was the 1:144 Wildcat?
I builded a Revell 1:144 Hornet lately, and that was a real kit...
No more 1:144 for me!!

Here they are again..... This is a kit made by Sweet Models from Japan... These are some really beautiful kits and full of detail.... Two kits come in one box. Kinda like a 2 for 1 deal.

Hi Penny,

That little plane just looks great! Nothing like those Revell craps. You did a good job on the fainted blue paint and I find it very detailed.
How did you paint the canopy? I can't imagine you covered the window parts in this scale?

Hi Paul.... I used one toothpick to paint the canopy and one to remove the excess paint (before the paint dried) from where it had ran.

I tried a 1:144 aeroplane once ( well, it was a birthday gift..) and gave up... . I think this looks excellent, and as for that canopy, bravo. Impressive is not an overstatement in this case I think..

Cheers

Hi Penny en Henk!

I agree with Henk; it's a little treasure!
But I can see this kit is so much bether quality than for instance the Revell kits.

So... seeing this pictures gives me the urge to look out for Sweet Models and give this scale a try again!
(And knowing Sweet Models brings a 2 in 1deal; hey: I'm Dutch! I'm sold!)

Penny, where did you buy / obtain these little kits?

Paul

I obtained my Sweet kits from HLJ.
http://www.hlj.com/hljlist2/?Maker1=SWT&MacroType=MilPro&GenreCode=Air&Dis=2

The kits come with excellent decal sheets with lots of options. The sea King kit isn't as good as the others.

Here a picture of my Wildcat VI
