Hi,
Do you know how to attach KMT mine roller to S-tank's hull?
TIA,
Michal

Do the two go together? Do you have any referance photos of a 103 with a KMT mounted? I would think that the hull front would be to narrow for a KMT 5 mine roller set. Or is this just a "what if " kind of thing?

Hi Tiger101,
For sure my question is not "what if" kind of topics Why?
First- I found one picture showing Strv 103 with this mine roller. Go to: http://medlem.spray.se/The_Swede/index.htm and than find: other Swedish armour and: Strv 103 on manoeuvres.
Second- I received photos of this mine roller (unfortunately they don't show how this thing was attached to S-tank's hull). This "thing" is light modification of Soviet KMT-5 set. It was done by Israel (but for sure this is not Nochri mine roller).
Regard from rainy Poland,
Michal

No problem if it was a "what if" thing. I just was just asking. I can't get the sweds's photos to load, so i can't see the mine roller attached. I guess I never expected the 103 to be used in that roll. :-)

Hi Tiger,
No problem from my side, too First I thought it had been Sweden construction- than I saw several similarities to Soviet KMT. Photos of mine roller from stock of Sweden Army solved my problem.
I don't know what is the problem with link to Swede's page. I can open it without problem.
Greetings,
Michal

Hi.
The rollers was a Swedish copy of the KMT5.
It was manufactured by the Swedish company "Norbergs Maskin & Hydraulik AB" during the years 1985-86.
It was used both on the Centurions and on the Strv103.
The Swedish rollers only had three rollers on each side instead of four.
I don't have any info about the mounts unfortunately but I'm working on it.
I'm sorry to hear that you can't access my site, I know that there is a problem for Netscape users to view my site and I will try to fix that as soon as I can.
You can view some images of the rollers here: http://w1.392.telia.com/~u39203740/Minerollers/

Thanks for including the picture. It looks kind of odd to see the KMT 5 mounted to the 103.
