Since I am not eligible to win the contest, I though I'd share my concept. Since we are locked to a single figure, I'm going to get creative. My scene is a night time setting in Northern Europe (lit with dark blue lighting from the outside). The main focal point will be a tall hotel wall facade, with several WINDOWS visible to the street below. Several of the windows will be detailed in some way to show the contents of the hotel room within... beds, bathroom, etc.
A particular window onm the second floor will have "shades drawn down" for the night, and will be illuminated from inside the room by the occupant. I will use a cardboard cutout to cast a siloutte of my "target" (German officer), and this image will be visible through the shadow he casts on the shade. In an alley across the way, my sniper crouches and takes aim at a target he will never actually see....
Whatdya Think?

Excellent idea Keith! I especially love the use of multimedia (light's/shades/distance).
And the pending implication of doom adds a hightened sense of immediacy to the whole setting. Good stuff indeed!

4x6? No problem... it will be a close shot!
Actually, that is why I am going for a tall building... to give a longer visual line of site than the restrictions of a 4 x 6 base would normally offer.

I like the idea with the drawn curtain. I'm curious how you'll place all that in the small frame... Victim AND target in a 4x6 dio... this sniper comes close to putting his gun against the victim's temple !

This is certainly a contest entry that rouses my curiosity !
