Quick question to see if anyone has seen this but i've been doing research on the M113A2 that was in OIF and was wondering if any of them had the armor plating on the commander's seat shielding them from enemy fire?
Reason for my asking is based on the images ive received from various places, alot of them didnt have it and the commander is not protected from enemy fire however the tamiya set comes with it as an option which i would like to use but not at the expense of accuracy.
Anyone?

Some did, most did not. After the initial invasion and the insurgency started, more of the armored cupola surrounds were added.

our 113a3 s had the cupola shield like featured in the tamiya kit, the little conical shaped hunk of junk, and some just had a gunshield like whats on the m-88 model from afv club, some had nothing.
