I need some help with a DML Flammpanzer kit It is based on the Ausf M The first pic shows an escape hatch on the lower hull DML instructions tells you to remove the molded on outline for them Did the Ausf M have the escape hatches?
The second pic is of the exhaust I read in the Osprey book that later models of the Panzer III had a special wading exhaust put on They could wade unassisted to depths of 5 feet with this type of exhaust
In the red shaded area, should I hollow that out? I am assuming that's where the exhaust fumes would come out Thanks in advance

There weren't any side escape hatches on Ausf. M's., so you need to sand off the outline on the hull. They stopped adding them during the Ausf. L production run.
The exhaust outlet was equipped with a one-way float valve. The exhaust would vent out of the baffles on the side of the outlet, not the top part that's colored red in your pic so don't hollow out the top part.
