Well I usually use testors and model master but recently got some tamiya paint to try but I forgot to get Black and white for shading.

Now I really don’t like the Tamiya paint so much and don’t plan on getting anymore.
Do you think it would work to mix it with black or white acrylic paint from one of the brands I use? And has any one tried it before?

Thanks.

there shouldnt be any issues when mixing paints of different brands so long as you thin it. Paints are normally thinned before application anyway.

Mixing paints brands is fine as long as you don't mix midia.

As far as shading, rather than black and white, which are very harsh, do some research on color theory and color wheels. (Google is your friend!) I was surprised that to darken red, for example, you'd add green to the base color. Blue is one of the few colors where adding white works to lighten.
